Home Gym Side Hustle

Home gym side hustle? Who wants that? Apparently a LOT of you! I got together with content creators from the home gym community in a round table sponsored by GORX Fitness to talk about home gym side hustles from personal training studios to freelance blogging to people who film fitness videos on spec!

What’s A Home Gym Side Hustle Anyway?

A home gym side hustle is any way that you can creatively use your existing home gym to generate revenue that serves as side income, a taxable write off and (hopefully) makes your home gym pay for itself. Is this something that’s for everyone? Probably not but it IS something that everyone SHOULD explore to see IF it’s for them or not!

Background

The idea for this originated with a company called AirGym but that baton has since been passed to startup fitness brand, GORX Fitness. GORX describes themselves as “an online community of microgym owners running our companies from the comfort and convenience of our home gyms”. So basically they’re home gym owners who use their home gyms to create financial independence and a source of sustainable income that can even potentially be passed down to future generations!

About the Roundtable

In an in-depth discussion, home gym content creators from Garage Gym Lab, Garage Gym Experiment, the Garage Gym Competition and event sponsor GORX Fitness, joined me to talk about the interest level of home gym owners in side hustles, plus useful information that helped us take the temperature of our community. We asked questions like:

  • How long have you been a home gym owner?
  • What kind of workouts is your home gym best equipped for?
  • How many hours a day is your home gym occupied/used for a workout?
