Design features of the Iron Legend Handle
I love the simplicity of this design and it feels great in my hands.
It is constructed of two six-inch handles welded together at an angle. The handle diameter is 30 millimeters and features quality grippy knurling.
The entire thing is coated with a utility chrome finish.
Functional testing the Iron Legend Handle
I tested the Iron Legend handle with some seated rows and then standing rows. I focused on the movement of my upper back and how the handle aligns my body during different moves.
And this thing is legit! I absolutely love the way it feels in my hand.
The knurling is not super aggressive like a deadlift bar, but it provides a great grip. Even if your hands are sweaty, the grip is secure and your hands shouldn’t slip at all. As you get into your final reps and your hands are starting to fatigue, the knurling helps you keep your grip and pull through.
The angle of the Iron Handle is perfect for cable rows. The angle is just enough to allow me to pull all the way to my chest without being so wide that it puts my shoulders in an awkward position.
I was pleasantly surprised how much this hit my lats and not just my mid-back.
I like the Iron Legend handle much better than U-shaped handles for rows.
I do have a triangle bar that I’ve been using and I think I am going to hang onto that. However, the Iron Legend handle is definitely the new king on the throne. It will be my new go-to for any kind of low rowing movement.
